PROFILCO was founded in 2001. The most modern aluminum profile manufacturing equipment in Europe is currently operated at a traditional plant located in Inofyta, Viotia, which was renovated in compliance with the building's architecture. The plant's manufacturing capacity amounts to 9,000 tons of profiles a year. This is where high-standard products are manufactured, capable of competing with products not only in the Greek, but also the international market.

The original facilities of the company were covering an area of 6,500 m². PROFILCO made steady progress in the years that followed. Its facilities and equipment evolved, increased and expanded. Its facilities currently cover an area of 17,000 m².

The staff employed currently comprises 120 people. Sales amounted to € 20,000,000 in 2005.

PROFILCO has established an extensive sales network in 7 countries: Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia and Skopje.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

PROFILCO's aluminum systems are exclusively designed by the company's research and development division.

The various applications of the systems and fitting operations of the profiles, as well as the design and use of the accessories are studied by the said division by means of special software. This is where the profiles are designed and the products undergo the final control before entering the market.

The established mechanical equipment, one of the most modern in Europe, comprises an 1800 tn press with fully automated production which ensures perfect surface finishing and geometry of the produced profiles. Many technological innovations in extrusion, cooling, cutting and distribution minimize the human factor and ensure the standardization of the final product.

A modern vertical coating unit that the full chemical cycle is applied secures that the aluminium profiles produced have high resistance in corrosion resulting a long lasting life cycle. The vertical coating unit is equipped with two high tech painting chambers that provide quick setup flexibility and high production capacity.

A newly installed wood effect finish unit which uses the sublimation method is currently working providing the company the advantage of supplying the market fast with high quality wood effect imitation aluminium profiles. The surface treatment is achieved by transferring the printed image of the film, on the special coated surface of the aluminium profile. With this way we can achieve a great variety of wood colors effect, which gives to PROFILCO /s aluminium systems great advantages regarding the aesthetics and most importantly their endurance in time for all architectural and climate needs.

Also, a latest technology production unit of thermal break profiles ensures flexibility and great production capacity in order to respond to the markets fast and efficient with high standards products.

LOGISTICS

PROFILCO, aiming at the best possible service offered to its clients in terms of quality and time of delivery, has ensured that the logistics division is manned with specialized staff. The members of the logistics division are fully aware of the market's needs and plan and distribute the products through a high-technology ERP system.

CERTIFICATION

The company's aluminum profile manufacturing process and conditions as a whole comply with ISO 9001, a standard guaranteeing the high quality of its products.

Moreover, the company's systems have been certified by laboratories approved by the European Union.

THE ENVIRONMENT

PROFILCO is an extremely environmentally aware company and has therefore installed and set in operation an ultramodern biological waste treatment unit. The physicochemical unit processes the dyeing unit's liquid waste by means of chemical reagents and special techniques. In this way, the company ensures the environment-friendly nature of the manufacturing processes prevents and restricts the volume of waste and saves on energy, natural resources and consumable stores.

THE FUTURE

The company PROFILCO looks to the future and aims at:

• The more systematic research and development of new products;
• An increase in turnover through the further development of the sales network in Greece and abroad;
• The consumers' information on proper product choices through the Mass Media;
• The integration of the investment plan comprising the automation of the products' distribution and storage, the operation of a training centre for the purpose of training manufacturers and the completion of the testing centre for the end-product's quality control.
